See No Evil – Bristol

October 5th, 2011

This is a brilliant film about the recent Graffiti event in Bristol where both local and national artists came together to completely transform Nelson Street which was formerly known for it’s run down dingy atmosphere. I was fortunate attend the block party at the opening and it was really great to see, there was a fantastic vibe and so much talent.

It’s amazing how the city has embraced street art; where it was once illegal and considered a sign of neglect,  it’s now being commissioned by the city council to beautify huge public spaces.

Fifty and Fifty

Illustrator Mikey Burton

Illustrator Matt Harris

Illustrator Meg Hunt

A beautiful project bringing together Fifty Illustrators from fifty states of America, each illustrating their state’s motto. Gorgeous typography and I love the unity created through the limited colour palette.

Above are some of my favourites, you can see all fifty at: http://statemottosproject.com/

Happy New Year

January 4th, 2011

As we were completely snowed in for a week in the run up to Christmas the beautiful letter pressed cards I’d been intending to send out didn’t arrive in time so here’s a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my wonderful clients and readers!

It’s nice to be back :-)

Cardboard Safari

October 5th, 2010

Lazer cut, 3D, cardboard safari trophies to hang on your wall. Much kinder to animals and super cool. I tweeted about this a while back but I figured its so good it needs to be seen so here it is again.

Nice Holiday

July 26th, 2010

Just got back from a wonderful holiday in the south of France. Plenty of sun which was a real treat :)

Lots of inspiring things, I was especially enjoying the typography and a particular street artists work who places mustache stickers over signs. Some of the more unusual are below

I also particularly liked the weight gain powder in the gym opposite the apartment
called “MUTANT MASS”

I have absolutely no idea what this is but it had to be photographed…

On the way to Monaco for the day…

If you visit Nice be sure to go the the old part of the city called “Vieux Nice” which is a warren of small old streets full of specialist shops and amazing finds.

OK so those aren’t exactly your typical holiday snaps but you don’t want to see me in my swimming costume – do you?
