Design Process
"Every project is unique - people have different needs, timescales and budgets. There’s no point in pushing a square peg into a round hole so each project is approached slightly differently - very differently when necessary!"
There are still some basic stages which are almost always employed:
-
The Brief
“Every problem contains within itself the seeds of its own solution.”
Stanley ArnoldEstablishing a clear brief is essential in making sure both designer and client are singing from the same song sheet. Defining the parameters of a project and the criteria on which its success will be judged enable a creative outcome which fulfills all the requirements and achieves results.
-
Research
To tailor a project to your organisation it’s paramount to understand your values, brand, market position, and customer expectations. Through consultation and research these elements create a picture which help to direct creative thinking and problem solving.
-
Concept
Using all the creative juices available the information gathered in the brief and research is used to fuel initial ideas, the best of which will be presented for review.
-
Concept Development
Working closely with you the chosen idea and visuals are refined into a final solution and worked through the rest of the project.
-
Production
Implementing the ideas with finesse is crucial to their success, Ark partners with specialists where necessary to ensure a high quality of work throughout the project.
